GLISTENING HAIR
Minimalism and natural beauty is this season’s hair definition. From beach waved curls to big bouncy blow-outs, braids and slick polished ponytails.
Never ever keep any of the above too well groomed, remember we are au natural so there is no need to look too perfect. We want deconstructed waves and undone low buns and knots; keep it chic but classy.

2012 spring/summer is all about the BRONDE; the perfect shade between blonde and brunette. It’s about making your hair colour look as natural as possible, just adding depth and dimension to make your hair appear thicker.
Imagine having your braids on the beach with tones of healthy hues of muted blonde browns running through. Imagine having caramel and toffee coming through the tips of your ponytail. Imagine honey and butterscotch blending through your full bouncy curls. This is the ultimate sophistication without trying too hard. The best part of these tones is that they look great on all hair bases, from brunettes and blondes to warmer strawberry blondes; it simply adds definition to any hair type giving it an effortless but gorgeous finish.
All you will need now is your golden tan (see @Scarlettpick ) to complete the look.

INSTANT INSPIRATION
If you can’t get an appointment with me here are some tips for you to try at home this week… make sure to comment and let me know how you got on.

PONY TAILS AT DIESEL, BLACK GOLD and with everyone from Guido palau at Marc Jacobs to Paul Hanlon at Christopher Kane creating their own version from loose to slick ponys of the classic look.

I love, love ponys; from top to side ponys, to lose ponys almost looking as if you’re going to lose your hair band. Be playful, either use Kerastase serum and Oleo Relax Leave In Conditioner. Pull hair off the face with a strong band then take a little strand of hair and wrap around the band to still keep it looking polished. Or, if you are daring try adding hairspray to give hair a dry feel and loosely tie your hair very low and let bits drop out. Ponys are great with smoky or bright natural eyes and nude eyeliner placed in the corner of the eye. Bright corals or orangey tone lipsticks will compliment them well.

One of my fave looks is Vivien Westwood, street style knots and effortless up do’s. Again not perfect at all and with honey tones running through giving it a natural sun kissed look.
Start by adding volume spray to your roots I like MATRIX AMPLIFY VOLUMIZING SYSTEM SPRAY then dry all your hair upside down so that it gives it the full natural, almost slightly frizzy effect. Don’t be scared to rub your fingers through to fluff it up a little, then twist sections and pin them back DO NOT WORRY IF YOU THINK ITS NOT PERFECT WE DONT WANT THAT the messier the better... Add fresh faced makeup to keep the polish but fresh completed look.

Nothing can beat a braided hair style for the lazy days. If you’re running short on time and haven’t got time to wash your hair add a little magic dust, I prefer MATRIX AMPLIFY VOLUMIZING SYSTEM sprinkle some on the roots making your hair feel slightly tatty back comb the roots slightly and add a plait. You can add the plait anywhere you like as long as it’s not done too perfect..

I love the braided look with glowy skin and nude lips like MAC MYTH LIPPYS. You want to look like it took you 5 mins to do but really we've spent 2 hours preparing.

We love brushed out curls and oodles of volume, from catwalks and the celebrity number one look of the year. My signature styles MUST be my famous BLOW OUTS! The queue’s that I have for this style are crazy, you would need 2 -3 weeks notice to get in for a weekend... THIS LOOK HAS BEEN AROUND FOR EVER AND WILL NEVER DATE,CLASSY ELEGANT AND SO SO GLAM.

If you can’t book in with me then I’ll give you a few tips. Start by spraying MATRIX AMPLIFY VOLUMIZING SYSTEM SPRAY on the roots and blow dry each section with a large round brush, constantly turning the brush to create a bouncy curl. Do that with each section then again use MATRIX MEGA DUST on the roots and slightly back comb each section gently, not using too much product. This look needs to look as natural and effortless as possible.
With this look your makeup can go from GLOWY fresh faced beauty to glam power defined eyebrows or bright pink lips. Whatever your preference, It’s very versatile. I like glowy skin and nude lips in the day then I vamp it up with my YSL rosy pink lippy. You can take this look as far back as 60's style with the eyelashes and a flick of liquid mac eyeliner (see @Anna_Maria_MUA for MAC makeup tips on twitter)

Any of the above styles will bring out the best of the colours in your hair finishing the entire look.

Good luck everyone. Let me know if you have any questions, worries or need any advice on your hair.
